SHOWJUMPERS will be taking part in a charity Christmas showjumping event at Cholwell Equestrian Centre.
The show will be held on Sunday December 7 at the equestrian centre near Lewdown from 9am, and is in aid of Exeter Leukaemia Fund, ELF.
The charity supports the work of the haematology centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and treats the region's blood cancer victims, performing bone marrow transplants and conducting research into the causes and treatments of the diseases.
The show has been organised by Cadi Rowe, whose father Graham Rowe was treated for Acute Myloid Leukaemia and who is now in remission and fully involved with all aspects of the show.
Cadi said: 'I used to live in the area and thought it would be a great way to raise money for ELF.'
The show is being sponsored by Bridestowe Garage, Youlden's Equestrian of Bridestowe, North Park Veterinary Group, Maunder and Sons, Dee Jackson Electrician, Willhayes Equestrian Support Services, Hoopers Equestrian, and Equine Canine and Country Life Magazine.
The event is open to all and offers refreshments and a raffle draw. All classes will receive a prize and money raised will go to ELF.
For further information phone Cadi Rowe on 01837 871799 or 07970 540 167.
