ALMOST 50 exhibitors will be attending the Dartmoor Partnership's fourth annual Dartmoor Showcase Day at The Two Bridges Hotel next week.

The wide range of exhibitors are mostly businesses in the tourism industry such as attractions, activities, accommodation, and food and drink, with several local trades and services. Agencies offering help and support to businesses, such as free advice and training, will also be exhibiting.

Malcolm Bell, of South West Tourism, will open the event, on Wednesday May 13 at 11am, followed by Jess Whistance, of the Dartmoor Partnership, speaking at noon. James Paxman, of Dartmoor Preservation Association, will give a talk at 1pm, and a cookery demonstration showing how to make the most of Dartmoor lamb will be held at 2pm.

Penny McInnes, membership officer and event organiser, said: 'This will be a marvellous occasion for anyone interested in Dartmoor and what local businesses and organisations have to offer. It will be particularly useful for business people, especially if they are involved with tourism in some way.'

Entry to the Dartmoor Showcase, which runs from 11am until 3pm, is free.

The Dartmoor Partnership is a not-for-profit organisation that works to help local businesses.
