A COMMUNITY and family fun day is being held at Meadowlands Leisure Pool this weekend (September 26 and 27), aimed at showcasing the facilities that are on offer.

In line with the Fitness Industry Association's More Active for Life Campaign, Tavistock residents are being encouraged to swap the remote control for a pair of trainers and to check out the swimming, martial arts and gymnastics, dance demos, football, and other activities, all of which are free of charge.

A similar event is also being held at Okehampton's Parklands Leisure Centre over the same weekend.
