A COMMUNITY event to be held in Mary Tavy in September will be providing local groups, clubs societies, charities and businesses with an opportunity to showcase themselves.

The event, called ‘Your Community Matters’, will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 10am till 4pm.

More than 20 organisations have already said they want to be a part of the event but there is space for an almost unlimited number.

Organised by the Mary Tavy Jubilee Group, the event hopes to benefit the local community in its broadest sense, providing information for people from the area at the same time as enabling local services to get an audience with their communities.

It is hoped that visitors and exhibitors alike will come from a wide area, not just from Mary Tavy and other local villages.

It will be a very interactive event with, when possible, clubs demonstrating their activities with plenty of opportunities for joining in.

Local clubs, charities and other not-for-profit organisations will be joining in the day.
