IT was standing room only in Exbourne Village Hall on Sunday afternoon when pupils of Pauline Savage presented a showcase of music.
Pauline, who teaches piano and singing in Exbourne, said she could hardly believe the numbers that had turned up on such a lovely afternoon.
The performance, given by 22 of her pupils, lasted just on an hour and included items from Bach to Lloyd-Webber. The wide range of abilities and performers ages from 8 to mid 70s made for an interesting and entertaining programme.
Pauline said it was hard to single out any one performance and that just performing to an audience was something of which everyone should be proud. But special mention went to Brian Pugh and his emotional rendition of David Gates' 'Everything I Own', to Caleb Stevens for singing 'The Climb', Grace Teowalsh for her wonderful soulful version of 'Hopelessly Devoted To You', Elsa Harriades for her beautiful playing of the 'Liszt Consolation' and Melody Storrer who was the youngest and who had had just four piano lessons.
