THE circus could be coming to Tavistock for the beginning of half term, a meeting in the town heard last week.

The town council's works superintendent Wayne Southall has been in negotiations with Paulo's Circus, for a visit from tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday.

Mr Southall told members of the council's properties committee that he was hoping the circus would be situated in the open parking space the council owns in Pixon Lane.

'The Meadows is too wet,' he said.
