THE annual meeting of Okehampton and District Agricultural Association was held at Meldon Village Hall recently.

Hugh Trerise was elected president with Phil Davies president-elect for 2012.

John Hockridge retains his position as chairman, with Mark Wooldridge acting as vice-chairman.

The 2010 accounts prepared by Simpkins Edwards were presented to the executive committee for approval.

The association made a profit following the 2010 show, which took place in good weather, bringing a large crowd to the event.

The 104th Okehampton Show will take place on Thursday, August 11 — trade stand bookings are now being received and new enquiries are encouraging.

Local businesses are particularly welcome to take a stand at the show.
