CARERS of adults with learning disabilities in the Tavistock area are being offered the chance to visit Abbfest for a short break.
Abbfest features 114 real ales and ciders, a variety of fine local foods, crafts and a wide range of entertainment and is held between Totnes and Newton Abbot from Friday, September 26 to Sunday, September 28.
A grant for free respite will pay for free entry for carers of adults with learning disabilities from West Devon. Profits from the weekend are donated to local charities.
The respite programme allows carers time off while supporting the many tourist attractions and arts events across the county.
Many carers are not aware of the support available.
