OXFAM will be welcoming its donors and customers to help it celebrate the first, successful year for the bookshop in Tavistock this weekend.
There is an evening of entertainment planned for Saturday at Whitchurch Village Hall, hosted by Jeff Sleeman, who used to host the town's popular Acoustic Café evenings.
There will be appearances from Mark Barnwell, Adelia, performance poet Rob Barrett and Tavistock's own 1.5 duo.
There will also be light refreshments, a photo exhibition, books for sale and a raffle.
It is hoped that the evening will raise money for Oxfam but the main objective of the evening is to express thanks to the bookshop volunteers.
There are up to 40 volunteers working in the shop every week and over the year they have learned skills and gained knowledge about the books and the shop, contributing to the shop's success.
Tickets for the evening, to which everyone is welcome, are £7 and available from the bookshop in Market Street.
Book donations can be dropped in to the shop at 5 Market Street, or phone 01822 613901 if you need any help with collection.
