SWAHBUCKLING fun is to be had at Castle Drogo throughout the summer holidays. Every day between 11am and 4pm a Pirate Trail will be open for children to make pirate hats, follow a trail through the grounds and find out about infamous pirates, including Bluebeard. A bumper pirate activity day will also be taking place on Thursday, August 18, with a treasure hunt, the chance to walk the plank and to take part in a pirate quiz. The events are in celebration of ?Year of the Sea?. For those who prefer to clown around, there will be a Circus Skills Workshops run by Mr Showers on August 7 and 14 with the opportunity to learn how to juggle, plate spin and stilt walk. Children can also try their hand at woodland sculptures on August 5, 12, 19 and 26, and Clive Pigg will be storytelling on August 3 and 17. For more information about any of these events including admission prices, or to book a place, contact Castle Drogo on 01647 433306.
