FOR 45 minutes this game had the makings of a cup shock as East Cornwall League St Cleer led their Carlsberg opponents, but eventually the home side made their mark to ease into the third round.
Colin Wilson gave the visitors the lead in the first period, but Callington were level just after the restart through Shane Krac.
Gavin West and then Kevin McShane put Town 3-1 ahead shortly afterwards but the visitors got a goal back from the penalty spot thorugh Lee Collins after Steve Thompson had handled.
In the dying minutes, Krac grabbed his second and Town?s fourth to secure the victory. Man of the match: Jimmy Keily.

FOXHOLE continued their march towards more silverware with this deserved victory over an improving Callington side.
The home side took the lead inside five minutes when Mark Cock beat the Town keeper after being set up by Jason Warne.
Callington had their fair share of possession but could not find a way past the stout back line of the Stars and this was shown in the statistics as the the Foxhole keeper did not have a save to make.
The second and decisive goal came on 70 minutes when Mike Body fired home from the edge of the area to seal the victory for the home side.

A CLOSE first half saw the home side edge ahead through an own goal, but Town were beginning to gel together and shortly after the restart they were level when Mike Vanstone scored. Then, the flood gates opened with Sam Pomeroy scoring a brace and Shane Richards also finding the net to secure a vital away win.

AFTER going a goal behind in a tetchy and nervy local derby, Callington Colts stormed back to keep their 100% league start to the season.
A goalless first period, during which both teams could and probably should have scored three goals apiece, was followed by the sort of second half that had the crowd yearning for more such encounters.
After falling behind, Callington were soon level as a flowing move that started in their own penalty area, was ended when Jack Bartlett stroked home the equaliser.
Nathan Dore soon gave the home side the lead and from then it was one way traffic as Dore added a second while Pete Styring and James Hall also scored to give Steve Blatchford?s charges a great boost going into this Sunday?s Cornwall cup clash at Bodmin Town.
Callington Colts Round Up
IN the Girls U16 Leander league, Callington took top spot in the division after a 7-2 victory over Saltash Youth.
Another team to lead their league are the U18s who came from behind to also crush Saltash Youth, this time 5-1. The other victory was the U15s who beat St Cleer Youth 4-0.
The U11s lost 5-1 to league leaders Lipson in the Drake league. The U12s went down 6-2 at Railway Beacon while the U13s lost 3-0 to Woolwell in the Astor league.
The U14s went out of the Plymouth League Cup 5-2 at home to St Cleer, while back in the girls? section, the U14s lost 6-1 to Saltash Youth while the U12s lost 1-0 at Lipson United in the Ocean Division.
