Tavistock Seconds v

Plympton Seconds

Tavistock Seconds maintain their challenge for promotion by beating Plympton Seconds at Gunnislake by 7 wickets.

The only doubt was the heavy rain prior to the start which left the pitch very wet. Eventually play started at 4 pm with a reduced over game of 29 a side.

A pretty mean start by bowlers Munday and Brown saw just 3 runs off the first 7 overs.

Plympton?s run rate was poor. Jeffery and Neale were then brought into the attack, Jeffery finishing with 4 wickets and Neal 3.

Plympton were all out for 81.

Tavistock made a cautious start on a difficult pitch with man of the match Jeffery making 39 in an opening stand of 58 with Digger Johns who was out for 28.

The runs came slowly with Tavistock winning in the penultimate over.
