CHRISTMAS can be a difficult time for those bereaved, whether it be recently or some time ago.

Hospiscare, a local charity providing care and support to patients across Devon, is holding a Service of Light at Fairplace Church, Okehampton on Wednesday, December 1.

The service, which begins at 7pm, offers anybody from the local community the chance to remember their loved ones and light a candle in their memory.

The Hospiscare book of memory will be brought to the service and will remain in the church until January 5.
