THE Bishop of Plymouth, the Rt Rev John Ford, will lead a commemorative service in Mary Tavy Parish Church this Sunday, May 2, celebrating the 175th anniversary of its association with the Oxford Movement within the Church of England.

The Rev John Higman, curate of Mary Tavy said: 'A series of 90 "Tracts for the Times" were written, emphasising aspects of faith and tradition, one of which, Tract 61, was by the Rev Anthony Buller, who was Rector of Mary Tavy from 1833 to 1877.'

The service is at 4pm and everyone is welcome.
