PASSIONS ran high last week as Okehampton came close to victory. On a frosty morning, the kick off on the senior pitch was delayed for 30 minutes to allow time for it to thaw.

For the first 20 minutes Okehampton played excellent football, creating chances and were rewarded when Stepto played a composed ball to Morgan. He held it up and played it to Powell, who rifled the ball home.

A second chance came moments later when Morgan was brought down in the penalty area, but the Dynamoes keeper saved the spot kick.

Dynamoes came out inspired for the second half and immediately put Argyle under pressure. Their first goal came when the ball hit the hand of an Oke player on the line and a penalty was awarded. Their second was scored immediately after a mid-air collision, when Argyle players were distracted and Dynamoes poked the ball home.

Argyle attempted a comeback, with Monnox making effective runs down the left. Despite regaining control, they were unable to make it count.
