HAVE you ever thought of running along the road from Okehampton to Exeter and then continuing for another four miles, say, to Topsham? No? I don't blame you, neither have I.
But that is more or less the distance covered by the Okehampton Medical Team under the captaincy of Dr Paul Nielson when they attempted — and finished — the London Marathon. And in so doing, with our sponsorship, raised ten thousand pounds for the New Okehampton Hospital Appeal.
Doesn't it do your heart good in these grey days of spin and deceit to know that there are such selfless and dedicated — and energetic! — people still around?
