FOLLOWING a stunning performance of a medley of songs from ?Sister Act? at their regional heat in Exeter, three West Devon girls from Upbeat, a talented group of young singers and dancers from St Joseph?s School, Launceston, have been selected to perform at the National Festival of Music for Youth on London?s South Bank, this July.

This is the eighth time that girls at St Joseph?s have reached the finals of the national. The three from West Devon are Emily Dixon, Aimee Heron and Lorna Wilkinson.

Following performances at 55 Music for Youth Regional Festivals from around the UK, just under 300 groups of the nations?s most talented young musicians have been chosen to take part in the week-long festival.

The National Festival of Music for Youth, the largest event of its kind in Europe, invites the top symphony orchestras, choirs, brass, wind, jazz and rock bands, to take part.
