THE team behind one of Devon's best carnivals are on the lookout for their carnival queen.

The Hatherleigh Carnival committee are looking for a girl aged 12 or over on November 9 to become the carnival queen. Applicants must live in the parishes of Hatherleigh, Highampton or Meeth. There is a grant available to help with the queen's float.

The closing date for applications is April 30.
