IT was Seed Gathering Sunday last weekend and Okehampton played its part with volunteers going along to the Old Town Park to enjoy a morning of gathering and learning how to identify the best seeds for growing.
The volunteers are pictured with South West Forest?s woodland projects officer Jim White, and West Devon Borough Council?s project development and countryside officer Esther Richmond.
Collecting the seeds from good quality trees helps to ensure that new stock can be grown.
