Callington Town 4 (aet)
THIS was new territory for Callington Thirds and, after letting slip a two-goal lead in the second period, they battled to come out winners against fellow division 4 Edgecumbe to qualify for the first round proper of the cup.

Just before the break, one of the club?s future prospects Andy Brown was put clear and fired his team ahead with a fine shot from 12 yards out.
When Peter Floyd scored his first senior goal, and Callington?s third following a good move involving Adam MacPherson and Brown on the hour, the game looked sealed for the visitors. But with the home club having introduced three substitutes at the break and Callington suffering from an increasing number of walking wounded, Edgecumbe produced a brace of goals late on to force the tie into extra time.
Callington dug deep during the following 30 minutes and were rewarded with ten minutes to go when, from a free kick, Tony Truscott found the back of the net with a 25-yard free kick to seal the victory.
