A TEN-year-old from Yelverton has been awarded first prize in the 'young' category of The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2015 — for the second year in a row.

Eden Crossley won the competition with her photograph 'Hey Macaroon' of a stall at the Plymouth Christmas Market.

Eden said: 'The smell of the macaroons called me over to the stall. I liked the quirky stall holder with the backdrop of the Santa lady blowing a kiss. I walked around to find the right angle to take my photo from and then when the stall holder spotted me and made the peace sign at me I knew it was time to take the shot.'

A total of 6,500 images were entered into The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2015 from around the world and the winners were decided by a panel of 31 judges, one of which was Barney Harwood from Blue Peter who Eden managed to get a 'selfie' with.

Eden was presented with her trophy and prize by Jamie Oliver's photographer David Loftus and food critic Jay Raynor at a champagne reception at The Mall Galleries in London, where her work is on display.

Eden, whose mum is local photographer Portia Crossley, said: 'Winning again is epic! When I grow up I definitely want to be a photographer like my mum.'
