AFTER trading successfully in Tavistock for three years, St Luke?s Hospice has opened a second retail outlet in the town.
The charity took the decision after being unable to find a larger shop in Tavistock to expand into.
Goods in the shop in Brook Street are different from the ones in the Duke Street outlet and include bedding, curtains, children?s clothes, books, toys, prams, reconditioned electrical equipment and bric-a-brac.
The shop will be officially opened by Tavistock?s mayor, Norma Woodcock, tomorrow (Friday.)
Hospice trading manager Viviane Alford said: ?Our first shop has performed better than we ever expected and we are delighted that due to the support of the local community we are able to open a second unit in the town.?
