TALENTED Tavistock College rugby player Lloyd James has had a busy season. Lloyd has captained the Tavistock College U15s and was awarded player of the year at the recent awards evening. He was also selected for Devon County schools U15s. He captained the side and played in the National 10s competition at Rugby College. Lloyd plays his club rugby for Devonport Services RFC, who have kept their 100% unbeaten record this season. They won the Devon U15s Cup and the Devon 7s Cup. Lloyd, who was also awarded coaches? player of the year, attends the (South West) England Rugby Academy and trains with the Elite Player Development Group. He also trains with Plymouth Albion RFC on their new apprenticeship scheme. Earlier this year Lloyd was awarded a Mayoral Award by West Devon Borough Council for his outstanding achievements in sport and being a role model to his peers.
