Brixham v Tavistock
TAVISTOCK won the toss and put Brixham in to bat. It took Tavistock until the 15th over to get a wicket with Arnie Searle bowling Robinson for 19.
Brixham were 42 for 1.
Then a partnership of 92 between Johnson and Maunder took until the 36th over, when Andy Kaitiff bowled Maunder (71).
Kaitiff also claimed Johnson?s wicket with a catch by Andy Gauler.
South African Craig Alexander took three wickets in the last nine overs, when Brixham had managed to get 231 for 6 after 50 overs.
Tavistock had a terrific start with Andy Kaitiff (12) and Peter Jones (38) getting 60 for the first wicket.
Arnie Searle batted well for Tavistock, getting 59, which included 12 fours and a partnership with Dave Manning of 68.
Tavistock wobbled in the middle, going from 136 for 3 to 153 for 5. Then a partnership of 67 between Steve Luffman (38 not out) and Steve Nicholson (37) took them to 220 for 6.
Craig Alexander joined Luffman at the crease to finish the innings, getting 232 for 6 with 3 overs remaining.
Tavistock gained 18 points and stay top of the A division, 13 points clear of Braunton.
They are at home against Abbotskerswell on Saturday, 1.30pm start.
