MY husband and I are travelling to the Okehampton area next month, doing what many other Canadians enjoy . . . searching out family history.
We are looking for relatives/descendants of, who in the 1960s/1970s were living at 99 Crediton Road, Okehampton, by the names of Alf and Lily and a Mrs Winifred Jones who lived at 22 The Arcade, Okehampton.
Both sets of people were writing to my grandmother, Jean Webster (birth name Evelina Baskerville, birth date registered as December 25, 1907, aka Lavinia, aka Tryphena, aka Jean. Her mother's name was Ellen Baskerville residing at Rosemary Row, Okehampton).
The letters were addressed to Aunt Triff and one was signed Alf & Lily, the other Winnie.
