I LIVE in Pembrokeshire but am originally from West Devon.
I have been researching my family for two years with some success. My search has now brought me to look for my father and I was hoping that this posted message might help as I have reached a dead end.
I was born June 1951 and adopted October 1955.
I am looking for anyone who may have any information however small or insignificant that may help me find my father.
His name is Ilia Capricnik, he is from the Ukraine. He may have been working on the Manor Farm Lydford. I have confirmation that he was boarding at The Manor Hotel in Lydford up to October 1955, possibly beyond.
He was known to my grandmother Mrs Alice Mary Penwill (formerly Doidge).
My mother was a single parent with two sons. She never lived with my father. I believe him to be a good man as he paid towards my foster care for four years.
He may also have had some connections in Brentor the adjoining village.
