TAVISTOCK?S 1st Scout Group has received two donations amounting to £450 from the town?s Round Table Club.

A sum of £200 direct from the club was used to purchase much-needed games equipment, including a set of goals which can be used by beavers, cubs and scouts.

A further £250 raised from the auction of a Manchester United football at the Round Table Christmas dance bought a new tent and associated equipment for the scouts.

The football was donated to the auction by Davina Ludwig who has two sons in the scout group.
