A FUNDRAISING and open day will be held at Tavistock's Scouts Den this Saturday, to raise money for a group of West Devon Scouts preparing for a life changing trip.

Next year, the group of scouts will be going to Botswana in Africa to help build a learning centre, which will be used to educate orphans and scouts from the local area about the wildlife in the nearby Okavango Delta.

They each have to raise £3,000 in order to go and they are encouraged to fundraise as much as possible.

The fundraising day will take place at the Scout den in Pixon Lane, where there will be various games and activities on offer as well as stalls, including Phoenix Cards and a cake stall.
