PINHOE took the lead very soon after kick off when Argyle were caught on the back foot. Argyle seemed a little shocked and were forced to defend strongly to keep Pinhoe from scoring again, however, a great shot from way out left Musgrove no chance of saving and Pinhoe made the score 2-0.

Argyle had a chance when they were awarded a free kick only to see it go just over the bar and encouraged by this, Smith put through a great ball to Dennis who finished well. Both Alden and Boother were working well and saw shots go just wide of the goal. Pinhoe, used to the large pitch, took advantage and made it 3-1. Pinhoe continued to attack and although the defence were working hard the Pinhoe player had time to turn and they scored their fourth.

Musgrove made a great save just before half time to keep the score at 4-1.

Pinhoe started the second half still in fighting mood and scored their fifth. Argyle did not give up and despite some good chances Argyle were unable to score but due to some great defending they also prevented Pinhoe from increasing their goal tally.

A hard match for Argyle however the score did not reflect the game. Argyle's next match is home to Sidmouth, September 26, 10.15am kick off.
