AT last, the training and coaching has paid off. In a thrilling match, Tavistock just held on to record a four try to three victory over a good Cullompton side.

As ever, Aaron Dobie was a real threat in both attack and defence, scoring two of Tavistock?s four tries.

This week he was well supported by the whole squad who showed commitment in all areas of play.

New man Freddy suffered a high tackle close to the line and was rewarded with a penalty try.

It was always going to be a close contest and Josh Birch?s running the length of the pitch for a try proved to be critical.

Daniel Dawes and Max Phillips rucked with passion and kept feeding the ball to their team mates.

Despite a fierce onslaught by Cullompton in the final minutes, Tavistock defended bravely and held on for their season?s first win.
