TORRIDGE, North, Mid and West Devon Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) marked Big Energy Saving Week with a pop up stall in the Ockment Centre to ensure members of the public are getting the best energy deals from their suppliers ahead of winter.

The local charity is part of Big Energy Saving Week – a joint campaign with Energy Saving Trust, the Department of Energy and Climate Change and Citizens Advice.

The Okehampton branch of CAB took part in the initiative with an awareness event at the Friday Hub in the Ockment Centre on October 30.

Representatives encouraged visitors to view BeAnEnergy Shopper.com to find out how much they could save by switching energy suppliers.

Torridge, North, Mid and West Devon CAB CEO Vicki Rowe said: ‘As the clocks go back and the temperature drops now is the time for people look into whether they could save money on their energy bills. We ran Big Energy Saving Week in the Ockment Centre to encourage members of the public to come and talk to us about their energy bills.’

Big Energy Saving Week is a national campaign to help people cut their fuel bills and get all the financial support they are entitled to.
