SANTAS, Christmas trees and elves filled the streets of Tavistock for a fancy dress fun run in aid of Help for Heroes last week.
Tavistock Athletic Club organised the Santa fancy dress fun run, which took place after the switching on of the town's Christmas lights last Friday evening.
Despite the weather forecast, 30 runners turned up to run a mile and a half course around Tavistock, and were blessed with a rain-free run.
Tavistock Athletics club have expressed thanks to Nigel Eadie of the Original Pasty House for being the main sponsor, Allan Dolan Stationary and I Love Candy for their help, Sgt Anning, PC Simon Raeburn and the team for manning the main traffic junctions and Tavistock Rotary Club members for help with marshalling the course. Tavistock Athletic Club will be holding the event again next year and hopes that even more Santas will join in the fun.
