FATHER Christmas will be visiting Tavistock again this Christmas, supported by members from the town's Rotary Club.

His first appearance will be in Bedford Square on Dickensian Evening (tomorrow, Friday) and he will be in the square again this Saturday, Friday, December 12, Friday, December 19, and Saturday, December 20, between 10am and 2pm.

During the remainder of the Christmas period, Father Christmas and his helpers will be touring the streets of Tavistock after 6pm.

The schedule list is: Residents from Treetops and Courtlands Road on Monday, December 8; Redmoor Close and The Dell on Tuesday; Campion Rise, Cox Tor Road and St Davids on Wednesday; Deer Park Road on Thursday; Highfield and Abbotsfield on Tuesday, December 16; Church Lea, White Acres and Priory Close on Wednesday; Monksmead on Thursday; Westmoor Park, Whitham Park, Chollacott Lane and Mohuns Park on Monday, December 22; and Bishopsmead on Tuesday, December 23.

Rotary Club president Wally Lake said he hoped the town's children would enjoy seeing Father Christmas in his newly decorated sleigh and that local residents would be as 'generous as ever' to Rotary Charities.

The collection on Dickensian Evening would specifically go towards ShelterBox and that other collections would largely support local charitable causes.
