THE head chef at Aalen House Nursing Home in Okehampton, Sandra Stevens, recently celebrated winning the coveted 'PSP Healthcare Group Chef Award'. Sandra, along with other chefs across the PSP Healthcare Group of nursing homes and care villages, entered her chosen menu, which included a traditional Duchess Tart taken from a recipe passed on to her by her mother. PSP Healthcare's group catering manager, Terry Knight, said: 'Sandra's recipe stood out as it was a traditionally tasty and nutritious meal, at the same time it was balanced in texture and colour and looked extremely appetising.'
