A SAUSAGE, Soul and Salsa night was last week held at Mount House School by Pat Tear and Cate Taynton, who will be running in the London Marathon in April.
They are raising funds for the World Cancer Research Fund, who they will represent in the race.
More than 150 enthusiastic dancers attended the evening, and enjoyed the music provided by Elaine Keith-Hill's Mambo band and Steve Carter's Disco, both of whom gave their services free of charge.
The school catering staff volunteered to prepare the sausage and mash supper, and the Horrabridge Cavaliers ran the bar.
The evening was a huge success, thanks to those who gave their services free, and to the generosity of the guests.
In total more than £1500 was raised on the night, and Cate and Pat are now well on their way to reaching their initial £4,000 target.
