St Cleer 3 Tavistock Thistles 4 THE game started fairly level. The break didn?t come until the 25th minute when Drummond made a great pass to Dykes who put the ball into the back of the net for Thistles. This was followed by a quick second for Thistles just before half time after excellent attacking from Drummond and Bragg followed by a well hit strike by Heard. The third goal came one minute into the second half when St Cleer?s defence became confused and gifted Thistles with an own goal. Five minutes later Dykes converted his second and took Thistles 4-0 into the lead. St. Cleer came back fighting and scored their first goal in the 40th minute. Five minutes later they scored a second and getting renewed confidence followed that by a quick third goal making the score 4-3 to Thistles with 5 minutes left. Thistles regained their composure and through good team effort managed to prevent St. Cleer from equalising. Player of the match: Joshua Drummond (Tavistock Thistles).
