A PAIR of Tavistock teenagers were falling to earth this month in a bid to raise money for the Suzy Lamplugh Trust.

Former Tavistock College pupils Lisa Allen and Gemma Glover, both 19, completed a 10,000ft tandem parachute jump to raise more than £250 for the charity.

Lisa said: ?We decided to do the jump after Gemma heard about it through her job at Youthwize ? the Suzy Lamplugh Trust raises money to increase people?s awareness of personal safety issues, and to help people who find themselves in danger.

?It?s a great cause and we thoroughly enjoyed the jump ? it was brilliant!?

The two girls completed the jump at Dunkeswell Air Centre, near Honiton, freefalling 5,000 feet at 120mph before the chute opened and they both drifted to a safe landing.
