HOW sad to be losing Jelly's and Georgie M — these types of independent shops are what makes Tavistock different from other small towns and why people visit Tavistock and spend money in our town.

I have sent very many happy ladies home after staying at our B&B with their special purchases from both of these independent shops (hubbies may not have been so happy!) and guests staying for a wedding, looking for that individual slightly different item to complete their outfit have been either sent or driven to the town to return with brown paper bags tied up with blue ribbon!

Hopefully, we won't lose any more of these special shops that make Tavistock the place we know and love.
