IT was a double marathon success for two friends from the Bratton Clovelly area who completed the London Marathon this Sunday, raising more than £3,000 for a charity helping the integration of disabled children.
Geraldine Walter and Mark Dudderidge are both parents of children at Bratton Clovelly Under-5s and at Boasley School.
Geraldine said: ?It was a lovely day. The crowds were brilliant. It wasn?t as bad as I thought it would be. It was thoroughly enjoyable.?
Geraldine and Mark, who is managing director of Ginsters in Callington were raising money for charity PHAB ?Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied. The national charity is dedicated to the integration of children with and without disabilities.
Geraldine finished the 26.2 mile course in a time of 4 hours and 58 minutes, while Mark finished in 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Geraldine said she was now thinking about joining Mark who had already put his name down for the Great North Run in September.
