NEWLY formed Tavistock Ladies football team had their first run out on Sunday at a five a side tournament at Okehampton. With most of the players only 14 years old they did credit to themselves.
Tavistock A: captain Donna Burch, Sam Payne, Jo Brimmacombe, Steph Morgan, Kirsty Jones and Louise Galway.
Tavistock B captain Sue Hammond, Kate Atkins, Laura Corrales, Laura Philip, Becky Atkins and Monica Les.
Tavistock B played some excellent football with Laura Philip and Monica Les outstanding.
Tavistock A were unlucky not to reach the semi-finals. Captain Donna Burch encouraged and directed her young team who showed potential.
Kirsty Jones and Steph Morgan played outstandingly. Parental support from Tavistock was also outstanding.
Tavistock player of the tournament went to keeper Louise Galway.
Tavistock Ladies train at Crowndale on Thursday from 6pm to 7.30pm.
