TAVISTOCK Rugby Club's girl players took to the catwalk when they hosted a fashion show recently.
Ably assisted by a selection of male escorts from the club, the U18 girls rugby team glammed themselves up to raise funds for their tour to the Worthing 10s festival in May.
The boys were suitably attired by Quinns menswear, also based in West Street.
Catering was organised by mums, led by Robin Neave, the club changing rooms were scrubbed out for the occasion —special thanks to Karon Midson-Holmes — and Robert McCall manned the bar so a big thanks is due for their hard work. Also to the U15 girls who sold raffle tickets on the evening.
The event raised £400, which along with the money received from Christmas bag packing at Somerfield, Boxing Day food sales at the club, kit sales courtesy of Michelle O'Boyle and generous sponsorship from Abel Brothers, Drake Vets at Yelverton and The Pool Guy will allow the girls to travel to Worthing and have tour hoodies, supplied by Matt Witcher of Tavistock.
