IT may feel like summer has only just finished but it won’t be long until Hatherleigh Carnival — and the carnival committee has announced this year’s royalty.

Ella-May Jevons is this year’s carnival queen, accompanied by prince and princess Josh and Holly Wale. The royalty were ‘sashed’ at a recent fundraising disco and duck race at Hatherleigh Community Centre.

This year’s carnival promises all the usual excitement, including the famous flaming tar barrel runs. The carnival takes place on Saturday, November 14.
