FOR the first time in ten years, the Dartmoor Sunday Rover travel ticket will be available all year round, Devon County Council has announced.

Unlimited travel on a winter Sunday network of connecting buses across Dartmoor, including the Tamar Valley train from Plymouth to Gunnislake, will now be available until May 19 next year.

Cllr David Morrish of the county's executive committee said he welcomed the prospect of the network being available throughout the year. 'It is good news for the countryside and part of the Recovery Plan to see the countryside working again,' he said.

The Sunday Rover tickets cost £6 for adults, £4.50 for senior citizens, £4 for children and a family ticket is available for £12.

Ticket holders can also receive discounts admission prices to Lydford Gorge, Cotehele House, the Dartmoor Pony train from Okehampton Station to Meldon and the Miniature Pony Centre.
