The Mount House U11 A and B rounders teams were in action against St Peter?s School, Lympstone, winning one match and losing the other. In the A Team match, St Peter?s batted first, and the Mount House girls gave limited scoring chances to their opponents. The Mount House first innings though were well behind at the halfway stage. Some really good work in the field kept the St Peter?s score down in the second innings, and the Mount House girls did well, but lost by 17 rounders to 15. The B Team gave an outstanding performance. They batted first and built the score steadily with Georgina Newman, Lucy Telfer-Smollett and Emma Paul in great form, taking the score to the huge total of 28 rounders. St Peter?s team could not match the Mount House scoring, and were forced to follow on, finishing on 12 rounders from two innings ? way behind the Mount House total of 28 from one. Outstanding performances came from Georgina Newman, who scored eight rounders, Cecily Jervoise who took three excellent catches, and Alice Donne at second post.
