CHANGEABLE weather could do nothing to dampen the spirits at this year’s Rockfest, held at Yelverton’s The Rock Inn.

The pub held a three-day festival offering visitors the chance to see a whole host of bands and artists across a variety of genres.

The first night saw regional favourites Mad Dog Mcrea rock the stage, with colourful and lively performances from The Kingstons, Hurry Up Harry, Amber Jade Smith, Michael Campari and the Solar System, The Buskateers and Rhys Morgan, among others across the weekend.

Several of the acts, including Charlie Cavanagh, Russell Sinclair and the Smokin’ Locos and Amber Jade Smith, stepped in at the last minute in 2016 to perform after BBC Introducing, so were duly invited back for this year’s event.

In addition to the weekend of great music, there was face painting, a barbecue and a wide selection of food and drink to enjoy.
