DRIVERS and residents of Ford Street in Tavistock, will be pleased to know that the gas works, causing the closure of the road, are due to finish tomorrow (Friday).

The road has been closed since January 25 while Morrisons Utilities have been carrying out works to replace the gas mains. The work has been done during non peak hours — not weekends, or between 7am and 9.30am or 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

Works taking place in Plymouth Road relate to the same job.
