A MOTORCYCLIST was flown to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance after colliding with a car near Mary Tavy on Sunday.
The BMW motorcycle and a white Renault Megane collided on the A386 from Mary Tavy at the Willsworthy turn off at around 11.25am.
The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene, and after the site was examined by a roads policing unit and cleared, the road was re-opened.
The motorcyclist, a 54-year-old man believed to live in France, was kept in hospital overnight for observation. His injuries were not life threatening and not thought to be life changing.
