A ROAD between Brook and Walkhampton has been closed by police due to a large articulated lorry blocking the road.

The road has been closed since this morning (Tuesday).

Local resident Jon Woodhouse reported that police had cordoned off the road while they waited for recovery of the lorry.

The lane leading to Huckworthy is narrow and has warnings on both sides of the bridge. Huckworthy Bridge dates from the late 15th century, is Grade II* Listed and has a width of only two metres.
