'A'-LEVEL performance students from Tavistock College will stage their own pantomime 'Ricky Whittington and the Tale of Tavistock' in the college hall at 5.30pm tomorrow (Friday).

The panto tells the 'tongue in cheek' story of young Ricky, who moves from the 'quiet town' of London to the hustle and bustle of Tavistock, and features stories from the Times, many references to Goose Fair and the rain.

Tom Stoneham plays the dame, Devon Parlett, the good fairy, Jack Turnock, the bad fairy and Katie Cowie is Ricky.

Saturday's play in the bandstand in the Meadows 'Willie's Really Rotten Week' depicts the fun, failings and frolics of falling in love and will start at 11.30am.

'Charlotte's Court' is a melodrama about the story of Charlotte Dymond, who was murdered on Bodmin Moor in 1844 and the subsequent trial of her lover. It is at 5pm in the town hall.
