WEST Devon A held on to joint top of the Tavistock Snooker league taking four off local rivals West Devon B.

There was s a superb 54 break from K Rich against Bath but this was overshadowed by Heathman succumbing to the delicate skills of WD B's R Rich in the last game of the evening. Prior to this though it as all WD A with Hurford edging out J Rich in a black ball game followed by Hawke and Emptage doing the business over Gilchrist and Moule.

Conservative A made up ground fast in the league posting their second 'fiver' of the season this time over Conservative C to go joint top. Lacey and Carruthers (24) for Con A had a comfortable wins over C's Jago and Bassett, followed by Longden finding some form with a 28 break which was too much for T Jago. Evans fought off an early surge from Craze to make it four with the icing on the cake being provided with a robust performance from Cooke over Hoare.

Tavy A chalked up another win in a tight contest over Conservative B. Tavy's Hicks took out Con's skipper Andrews in a black ball game only for Con's Ewings to tame Woods in another tight one. Ryall continued his good form with a romp over Dolan with the win being sealed by Tavy skipper Stewart over Evans.

Respectability for Con B was restored in the final frame with Lillicrap taking out Hoar in a low scoring game.
